# Create consistent snapshots

Create consistent snapshots

## Path parameters

- `DgId` string, required

## Query parameters

- `nodename` string

## Request body

- object
  - `Type` 'full-instant' | 'space-optimized' | 'mirror-breakoff', required: Type of the snapshot
  - `SnapshotList` object[], required
    - `SourceVol` string, uri: Source volume link
    - `SnapshotVol` string, uri: Specifies a pre existing volume link that is to be used as a full-sized snapshot of the source volume.
    - `SnapshotName` string: Specifies the name of the new space-optimized or full-sized break-off snapshot volume that is to be created.
    - `Cache` string: Cache object desired for space-optimised snapshot creation
    - `CacheSize` string: Size of the cache to be created for use by a space-optimized snapshot
    - `Nmirror` integer: Specifies the number of plexes in the original volume that are to be broken off for use as snapshot plexes.
    - `Tag` object: Specify the tag to be associated with the snapshot.
      - `TagName` string: Specify the tag name to be associated with the snapshot.
      - `TagValue` string: Optional tag value to be set for specified TagName.
  - `Comment` string: A description to be associated with the snapshot volume
  - `StorageSpecification` string: Storage specification to select certain types of disks for the allocation during snapvolume creation like ctlr:c1 or mediatype:ssd etc.
  - `Sync` boolean: Specify false if synchronization is not to be started for a full-instant instant snapshot.
  - `Autogrow` boolean: Specify false if the dedicated (non-shared) cache that is associated with a space-optimized snapshot should not be grown automatically when extra space is required.

The request has succeeded.

## Other responses

- `202`: The request has been initiated.
- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: The requested operation requires authentication.
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Object that the endpoint is working on is not found.
