# Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Verification

This method helps you to verify a Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) registered professional against the legal source.

#### Request Notes
PRC verification has two search modes and they are mutually exclusive. Send exactly one of them:
- License number mode: `license_number` and `birth_date`, both mandatory when you use this mode.
- Name mode: `first_name` and `last_name`, both mandatory when you use this mode.
- `profession` is mandatory in both modes.
- Because the mode is your choice, `profession` is the only property marked as required in the request schema; the fields of the mode you send become mandatory for that request, and the fields of the other mode must be omitted.
- `license_number` is 4 to 7 digits, numeric only. `birth_date` is in `DD-MM-YYYY` format.
- Sending fields from both modes in a single request returns `400` with `Verification using license number and name must be separated.`, while sending neither mode returns `400` with `Provide either license_number with birth_date, or first_name with last_name`.
- `reference_id` is optional. When it is empty, a UUID is generated and returned in the response. It must be unique per service: reusing a `reference_id` returns `Transaction already created for this reference_id`.

#### Response Notes
`status` returns `VERIFIED` when the registered professional is found and `REJECTED` when it is not found. `data` is omitted when the status is `REJECTED`, and the fields inside `data` follow the search mode: the license number mode returns the full license record, while the name mode returns the identity fields only.

## Request body

- PRCVerification: Send exactly one search mode: the license number mode (`license_number` with `birth_date`) or the name mode (`first_name` with `last_name`). Only `profession` is required by the schema, because the mode is your choice; the fields of the mode you send are mandatory for that request and the fields of the other mode must be omitted. Combining fields from both modes returns `400` with `Verification using license number and name must be separated.`
  - `profession` string, required: Registered profession of the license holder as stated on the PRC record, for example `Mechanical Engineer`.
  - `license_number` string: PRC license number, 4 to 7 digits, numeric only. Mandatory when you verify by license number, together with `birth_date`, and must not be combined with `first_name` or `last_name`.
  - `birth_date` string: Date of birth of the license holder in `DD-MM-YYYY` format. Mandatory when you verify by license number, together with `license_number`.
  - `first_name` string: First name of the license holder. Mandatory when you verify by name, together with `last_name`, and must not be combined with `license_number` or `birth_date`.
  - `last_name` string: Last name of the license holder. Mandatory when you verify by name, together with `first_name`.
  - `reference_id` string: Use to indicate your company's transaction (must be unique). When empty, a UUID is generated.

  - `reference_id` string, required: Reference id of the transaction, the same value you sent (or a generated UUID if it was empty).
  - `message` string, required: Shows message of the response.
  - `status` string, required: Verification status of the transaction. Returns `VERIFIED` or `REJECTED`; `data` is omitted when the status is `REJECTED`.
  - `data` object: Shows the result of the verification. Only present when the status is `VERIFIED`.
    - `profession` string: Registered profession of the license holder.
    - `full_name` string: Full name of the license holder. Returned in the license number mode.
    - `first_name` string: First name of the license holder. Returned in the name mode.
    - `last_name` string: Last name of the license holder. Returned in the name mode.
    - `birthdate` string: Date of birth of the license holder. Returned in the license number mode.
    - `registration_date` string: Registration date of the license. Returned in the license number mode.
    - `license_number` string: PRC license number of the license holder. Returned in the license number mode.
    - `picture` string: URL of the photo of the license holder. Returned in the license number mode.
    - `picture_validity` string: Validity of the photo URL. Returned in the license number mode.
    - `is_valid` boolean: Returns `true` when the data is found in the datasource, `false` when it is not.
