# Send Submission To Senior Review

`POST /intake/submissions/{id}/escalate`

## Request

- Base URL: `/api` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/api/intake/submissions/{id}/escalate`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Moves a pending standard-lane submission to the senior lane with reason escalated. Re-routing leaves it there. Allowed for an Admin or a reviewer listed on the form. Returns the new routing.

## Response `200`

Success

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid id, or the reason is missing or longer than 1000 characters
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Caller is not an Admin or a reviewer of the form
- `404`: Submission or form not found
- `409`: Not pending, routing is off, not in the standard lane, or the submission changed
- `500`: Internal server error
