# Patch Selection

`PATCH /extensions/jira-assets/config/selection`

## Request

- Base URL: `/api` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/api/extensions/jira-assets/config/selection`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Updates only the selected schema and/or object type; a field left out is kept, null clears it. Requires the jira-assets extension to be enabled for the organization and the extension.admin permission (Admin); 403 otherwise.

## Request body

  - `selected_schema_id` string, nullable
  - `selected_object_type_id` string, nullable

## Response `200`

Updated selection ({ selected_schema_id, selected_object_type_id })

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error (no field given, or an id that is not a Jira id)
- `403`: Extension not enabled for this organization, or role not allowed
- `404`: No Jira connection saved yet
- `500`: Internal server error
