# Find an entry by name, for a console form or the console search

`GET /management-console/find`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://verifiedhandles.org`
- URL: `https://verifiedhandles.org/management-console/find`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Up to 10 entries matching `find`: blocked ones too for an account with `manage_entries` or `suppress_history`, else what the public search finds. Each says whether its history is hidden and, to an account that may open its Wikidata page, whether the sync may read it now (linked to an item, neither protected nor claimed; false to anyone else): what the console search needs to offer the entry’s other pages. Empty `find`: none.

## Query parameters

- `find` string

## Response `200`

The matches.

- object[]
  - `VHID` string, required
  - `Title` string, required
  - `short` string, nullable, required
  - `blocked` boolean, required
  - `history_hidden` boolean, required
  - `syncable` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `302`: No key was sent: the console sends a browser to sign in. A script should send its key.
- `400`: The request sent a key and a session cookie together (`bearer_with_cookie`): send one.
- `401`: The key was refused: unknown, revoked or expired, its holder may no longer use keys, or this instance takes none. Carries `WWW-Authenticate: Bearer`.
- `403`: The key’s account lacks the capability, or is blocked: the body is the word `Forbidden`.
- `503`: The site is down for maintenance. The body is the maintenance page, as HTML. Try again later: `Retry-After` gives the seconds.
