# Land unit converter

`POST /api/v1/tools/unit_convert`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://verified.realestate`
- URL: `https://verified.realestate/api/v1/tools/unit_convert`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

EXACT Tamil Nadu land unit conversion (never do this arithmetic yourself). Area units: square_feet, ground, acre, cent, square_meter, veli, maa, kaani, kuli, are, square_yard, guntha, kuncham, hectare, cawnie. Length units: feet, meter, yard, kol, muzham, centimeter. Pass amount + from unit; omit "to" for a full equivalents table. Use for "how many cents in a ground", "2.5 acres in sq.ft", "1 veli", "kuzhi to sq.ft", "muzham to feet". Set mode "rate" when the amount is a PRICE PER UNIT rather than an extent: "3,000 rupees per square foot in rupees per cent", "1.2 crore per ground per square foot", "land rate per acre to per square metre". A rate converts the opposite way to an extent, so never do it by converting the units yourself; the answer comes back under rate / rate_equivalents and is in whatever currency the amount was. Free.

## Request body

- object
  - `amount` number, required
  - `from` string, required: Source unit key from the lists above (kuzhi -> kuli)
  - `to` string: Target unit key; omit for the full table
  - `mode` 'convert' | 'rate': convert (default) treats amount as an EXTENT. rate treats it as a PRICE PER "from" unit and returns the price per "to" unit.

## Response `200`

The envelope: ok, status, data, credits_charged, balance_after, request_id

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential
- `402`: Not enough credits
- `429`: Rate limit
