Search the Tamil Nadu Archives of Historical Records: over 450,000 digitised records - Old Settlement Records (OSR, pre-independence settlement registers by village), Inam Fair Registers (IFR, tax-free land grants), Government Orders, Pre-Mutiny records (1670-1857), historical books/manuals/gazetteers, gazettes and departmental indices. Use for historical/ancestral land research: "old settlement record for my village", "inam records of X", "old GOs about Y", pre-independence history of a place. Search by village/taluk/district name for OSR/IFR, by title keywords for the rest. category "all" sweeps every register. Costs 1 credit per call, waived when nothing is found.

  - `year` string: Optional year filter (GOs, books, gazettes, indices)
  - `district` string: Optional district filter (OSR and IFR only)
