Look up a Greater Chennai Corporation PROPERTY TAX or CMWSSB WATER TAX bill using the identifiers printed on the bill: zone number, ward number and bill number. Use when the user quotes a bill or has their receipt, for example "check property tax for zone 5 ward 64 bill 12345", "what is my water tax due", "is my property tax paid". CHENNAI CORPORATION ONLY. This reads the LIVE portal, so it reflects payments made today, unlike the Chennai dues lookup, which reads our offline snapshot, and unlike the Chennai utility fetch, which works from a map point instead of a bill. For an old-format bill pass bill_format "old" with the old bill number and sub code. When the user gives the whole number, pass it unchanged as printed_bill_number: a Bill No looks like 05-049-00880-000 and a New Bill No like 05-049-000880, they are separate series, and splitting or re-padding one into the other searches a different property. Free.

  - `tax_type` 'property_tax' | 'water_tax', required: property_tax (GCC) or water_tax (CMWSSB)
  - `printed_bill_number` string: The whole bill number exactly as the user gave it, dashes included (05-049-00880-000 or 05-049-000880). When given, zone, ward and format are read from it.
  - `zone_no` string: Zone number from the bill, 1 to 15
  - `ward_no` string: Ward number from the bill
  - `bill_no` string: Bill number for the current (new) format
  - `bill_format` 'new' | 'old': Default new. Use old for a pre-revision bill number.
  - `old_bill_no` string: Old-format bill number, required when bill_format is old
  - `sub_code` string: Sub code for an old-format bill, defaults to 000

## Response `200`

The envelope: ok, status, data, credits_charged, balance_after, request_id

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential
- `402`: Not enough credits
- `429`: Rate limit
