# Seller check status

`POST /api/v1/tools/seller_check_status`

Read back a seller background check that an approval started, by the check_id that approval returned. While it runs: status queued or running, with the stage it has reached. When it is done: status completed with the result (verdict, summary, the top findings each with its source link, date, severity and identity-match confidence, the court index counts, the leads followed) and a link to the full report, or status failed with the reason (the credits taken when it started are returned automatically). Only checks started from this account are found. Free. A check takes 8 to 15 minutes; poll about once a minute.

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential
- `402`: Not enough credits
- `429`: Rate limit
