# Every parcel within a radius

`POST /api/v1/tools/radius_discovery`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://verified.realestate`
- URL: `https://verified.realestate/api/v1/tools/radius_discovery`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Find land parcels within a radius of the point the user dropped on the map (a "radius sweep" for land acquisition), matching filters: minimum/maximum area (acres) and exclusions (industrial, eco_sensitive, flood, reserve_forest, aquifer, road_widening, govt). Results are sorted nearest-first with the distance to each parcel. The centre point and radius are supplied automatically from the map selection, so do NOT ask the user for coordinates or a radius: when the user has set a radius on the map and asks to list, find or count nearby parcels, just call this tool with the filters. For a TYPED sweep around a NAMED place ("farmland within 5 km of Melnallathur") with no map selection, resolve the place to a point first (a place search or a survey-to-map lookup) and pass lat, lng and radius_m yourself - never escalate for want of a centre you can resolve. THOSE SEVEN ARE THE ONLY EXCLUSIONS. There is NO agricultural, wet/dry, nanjai/punjai, residential or land-classification filter here, so never promise to "screen out agricultural land" as part of this sweep. When the user asks for that, say plainly that the sweep filters by area and the seven zones above, and offer the real two-step: run the sweep for the size they want, then check land classification per parcel with the registration department's classification lookup (its class grouping is Natham / Wet / Dry) or the zone check with subject cmda_landuse. Costs 4 credits to open a sweep; further pages of the same sweep are free for the first five, then 1 credit per five pages, for 24 hours.

## Request body

- object
  - `lat` number: Centre latitude. Pass ONLY for a typed sweep with no map radius selection, using the point you resolved this turn (a place search, a survey-to-map lookup or the parcel lookup).
  - `lng` number: Centre longitude, same rule as lat.
  - `radius_m` integer: Radius in metres for a typed sweep ("within 5 km" = 5000). Omit when a map radius selection exists; the selection is supplied automatically and wins.
  - `min_area_acres` number: Minimum parcel area in acres, if the user asked for one
  - `max_area_acres` number: Maximum parcel area in acres, if the user asked for one
  - `exclude` string[]: Zones to exclude parcels that intersect them
  - `page` integer: Page number for pagination, default 1

## Response `200`

The envelope: ok, status, data, credits_charged, balance_after, request_id

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential
- `402`: Not enough credits
- `429`: Rate limit
