Search the Tamil Nadu PLANNING PERMISSION APPROVAL (PPA) register: DTCP, Town Panchayat and Rural Panchayat building-plan and layout-approval permits across the state, 2022 onwards. Search by approval number, application number, district, taluk, village, year, approval type or department, and get back the permit detail: department, approval type, permit issue date, village/taluk, survey numbers, extent, purpose, total fees with the fee breakdown, and links to the approval letter, approved plan and demand details PDFs. Use for "is this layout DTCP approved", "find approval number PPA/123/2019", "what approvals exist in this village", "layout approvals in Tiruvallur 2021", "building plan approvals near me", "who approved this permit and what fees were paid". A search by SURVEY NUMBER belongs to the separate approved-layout check, which matches permits on survey_numbers; this tool is for number, place, year and category searches. Chennai Metropolitan Area buildings are approved by CMDA, not DTCP, and the CMDA registers are separate searches. Costs 1 credit per call, waived when nothing is found.

  - `approval_type` 'Building Plan' | 'Layout Approval': Building Plan = a single building permit. Layout Approval = a plotted layout / subdivision.
  - `department` 'DTCP' | 'Rural Panchayat' | 'Town Panchayat': Sanctioning department. DTCP = Directorate of Town and Country Planning.
