# Places search

`POST /api/v1/tools/places_search`

Find named real-estate places by text query and return their coordinates: apartment complexes, gated communities, commercial buildings, or a locality/street to geocode (for example "apartments in Adyar", "Boat Club RA Puram", "Kazura Garden 1st Street"). Use this to discover apartments/POIs in an area or to turn an area or street name into a point, then resolve those coordinates to parcels and pull registered transactions or guideline value. Covers all of Tamil Nadu. Free.

## Request body

- object
  - `query` string, required: The search text, e.g. "apartments in Adyar Chennai" or "Boat Club area RA Puram".
  - `place_type` 'apartment' | 'any': Filter to apartment/residential complexes only, or any place. Default any.
  - `max_results` integer: How many places to return (1-20, default 12).

## Response `200`

The envelope: ok, status, data, credits_charged, balance_after, request_id

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential
- `402`: Not enough credits
- `429`: Rate limit
