# Background job status

`POST /api/v1/tools/job_status`

## Request

Poll a queued job (a record pull, a price map, a geo insight, an approved encumbrance certificate pull) by its job_id. Returns running or pending, done with the delivered result (payload) and what it cost, or failed. Free. Poll every 30 to 60 seconds; jobs take one to ten minutes.

## Response `200`

The envelope: ok, status, data, credits_charged, balance_after, request_id

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential
- `402`: Not enough credits
- `429`: Rate limit
