# Guideline value

Get the government guideline value (the official registration rate used for stamp duty) for a property. Resolve the parcel first, with the free parcel lookup, to obtain the survey number, village and revenue codes, then pass them here. ALSO pass lat and lng (the same coordinate you resolved the parcel from): urban / city parcels are rated by street rather than by survey, so when the survey lookup has no published rate this falls back to the guideline rate of the street the parcel sits on. Returns the guideline rate for the parcel or the closest match. Use for "guideline value here", valuation, and as the price overlay on discovered parcels/apartments. Free.

  - `sro` string: Sub-registrar office name/code, if known
  - `road_name` string: Street name, for urban street-rate lookup
  - `rev_district_code` string

  - `rev_village_code` string
  - `district_name` string: Revenue district name, if known (lets the register be searched in the right zone when no zone is known)
  - `rural_urban` string: "rural" or "urban", as the parcel lookup or the survey-to-map lookup returned it. Pass it: an urban (town survey) parcel is never matched to a village survey number.
  - `lat` number: Property latitude, enables the nearest-street rate fallback for urban parcels
  - `lng` number: Property longitude, enables the nearest-street rate fallback for urban parcels

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential
- `402`: Not enough credits
- `429`: Rate limit
