# Search the CMDA registers

Search CMDA (Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority) records by name, file number, permit number or village. subject picks the register: "planning_permission" (approvals), "violation" (unauthorised-construction list), "locked_sealed" (locked/sealed buildings), "sealing_notice" (lock-and-seal NOTICES served), "developer" (registered developers), "professional" (CMDA-registered architects/engineers/surveyors, WITH licence validity - check expiry before hiring), "completion_certificate" (issued CCs - proof a building was completed per plan), or "government_order" (CMDA-related GOs by number/subject). Use for "is there a CMDA approval for X", "any violation/sealing against this owner/building", "is this developer/architect CMDA-registered", "does this building have a completion certificate". Chennai metropolitan area only. Costs 1 credit per call, waived when nothing is found.
