FAMILY LAND TRAIL: search an ANCESTOR'S NAME across the ownership registers (current recorded holdings, Tamil + English) and the historical archives (pre-independence settlement and inam registers of the native village) in ONE call. A name plus ANY area (district is plenty, even a whole district like Chennai) is enough for the FIRST run: search immediately with what the user gave (resolve codes with the free place-name lookup when a place is named), show the trail, and only THEN offer to narrow with initials, spelling variants or the native village. Ask a question first ONLY when there is no usable name at all. Use for "did my grandfather own land", "find my family's land", "என் தாத்தா நிலம்", ancestral property questions. Results are name matches, NEVER proof of relation. 3 credits. Costs 3 credits per call, waived when nothing is found.

  - `district_code` string: Native district code (recommended, from the free place-name lookup)
  - `taluk_code` string
  - `village_code` string
  - `village_name` string: Native village for the archives sweep, EXACTLY as the user named it ("Adambakkam"), never the resolved revenue or urban area name ("Velacheri (Part 1)"): the archives are filed by the old village name
  - `district_name` string

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential
- `402`: Not enough credits
- `429`: Rate limit
