# Test Speaker

`POST /speakers/{speaker_id}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.verdun.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.verdun.ai/speakers/{speaker_id}/test`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Play the deterrent clip on demand — install verification with the
customer on the phone. This makes real sound at a real site, so it is
audited like a mutation even though it changes no row.

## Path parameters

- `speaker_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- SpeakerTestResponse: Result of an owner-initiated clip test. Success means the device CONFIRMED playback — a 2xx with an AXIS error body is a failure, not a success with a warning.
  - `success` boolean, required: True only when the device confirmed playback.
  - `speaker_id` string, uuid, required: The speaker that played.
  - `speaker_label` string, required: The speaker's display name.
  - `clip_id` string, required: Clip that was played.
  - `auth_mode` string, nullable: Which auth mode the device accepted.

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
