# Map Search

`GET /sites/{site_id}/map-search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.verdun.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.verdun.ai/sites/{site_id}/map-search`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

## Path parameters

- `site_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `query` string, required: Free-text address to locate.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- MapSearchResponse: A geocoded point for the Map tab's address search box. Display-only: the frontend pans/zooms the map to this location and nothing is persisted. So, unlike GeocodeSiteResponse, there is no `precise` flag and no storage-licensed coordinate — this is a "look over here" result, not a candidate site pin.
  - `lat` number, required: Latitude of the matched address.
  - `lng` number, required: Longitude of the matched address.
  - `label` string, required: The address Amazon Location actually matched — shown back to the operator as search feedback.

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
