# Delete an authentication token

`DELETE /v3/user/tokens/{tokenId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.vercel.com`
- URL: `https://api.vercel.com/v3/user/tokens/{tokenId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Invalidate an authentication token, such that it will no longer be valid for future HTTP requests.

## Path parameters

- `tokenId` string, required: The identifier of the token to invalidate. The special value "current" may be supplied, which invalidates the token that the HTTP request was authenticated with.

## Query parameters

- `reason` 'logout': Identifies an explicit logout for the deletion event. Only applies when tokenId is current.
- `logoutSource` 'v0' | 'vercel': The product the caller is logging out of. Only applies when reason is logout and tokenId is current.

## Response `200`

Authentication token successfully deleted.

- object: Authentication token successfully deleted.
  - `tokenId` string, required: The unique identifier of the token that was deleted.

## Other responses

- `400`: One of the provided values in the request query is invalid.
- `401`
- `403`: You do not have permission to access this resource.
- `404`: Token not found with the requested `tokenId`.
- `410`
