# Admit Workflow Play Trigger

`POST /api/plays/{play_id}/schedules/{schedule_id}/events`

## Request

## Request body

- WorkflowPlayTriggerAdmissionRequest: Immutable source-event envelope used to deduplicate and admit an event occurrence.
  - `dedupe_key` string, required: Stable source-scoped retry key for this exact event evidence.
  - `external_identity` string, required: Immutable event identity assigned by the source adapter.
  - `occurred_at` string, date-time, required: Timezone-aware RFC 3339 source occurrence time.
  - `payload` object, nullable: Inline source-defined event payload; mutually exclusive with payload_artifact_digest.
  - `payload_artifact_digest` string, nullable: SHA-256 of an immutable payload artifact; exclusive with inline payload.
  - `payload_digest` string, required: SHA-256 of canonical inline payload JSON, or the referenced immutable payload artifact digest.
  - `source` string, required: Stable source namespace such as webhook.hubspot or sentry.
  - `subject_refs` object[]: Source-defined subject references used to associate the event with domain rows.
  - `version` '1': Version of the canonical source-event envelope. SDK callers use version 1.

## Response `202`

Successful Response

- WorkflowPlayTriggerAdmissionResponse: Envelope returned after admitting a provider event.
  - `admission` WorkflowPlayTriggerAdmissionRecord, required: Idempotent provider-event admission and its resulting tick linkage.
    - `admission_id` string, required: Stable admission id derived from source and dedupe key.
    - `dedupe_key` string, required: Source-scoped key that makes admission idempotent.
    - `external_identity` string, required: Producer-owned event identity.
    - `inserted` boolean, required: True when this request created the admission ledger row.
    - `occurred_at` string, required: ISO 8601 time the source event occurred.
    - `payload_digest` string, required: SHA-256 binding the inline or artifact payload.
    - `source` string, required: Stable provider or producer namespace.
    - `status` 'pending' | 'queued' | 'skipped', required: Whether the event awaits a tick, admitted a tick, or could not run.
    - `tick_id` string, nullable, required: Created tick id after the admission is processed.
