# Toggle who can add members (admins only or all)

`POST /v1/group/setMemberAddMode/{instance}`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8080`
- URL: `http://localhost:8080/v1/group/setMemberAddMode/{instance}`
- Auth: API key in header `apikey`

Accepts a regular group or subgroup JID. Community parent JIDs are rejected by WhatsApp.
