# Verify a decision receipt (POST)

`POST /api/v1/decision/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.venumark.com`

- Auth: none required

Anonymous. Same as the GET form, for clients that prefer not to place the receipt in a URL. Send {"receipt": "..."} as a JSON body.

## Request body

  - `receipt` string, required: The receipt string exactly as returned by /api/v1/decision.

## Response `200`

Verification result: valid with the signed payload, or invalid with a reason.

- DecisionVerificationEnvelope
  - `data` DecisionVerification, required: Result of checking a decision receipt signature.
    - `valid` boolean, required
    - `payload` unknown
    - `reason` string: Why verification failed, when valid is false.
  - `meta` EnvelopeMeta, nullable: Optional response metadata, e.g. {count}. List endpoints are unpaginated and return the full result set. Null when not applicable.
  - `error` unknown, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing or invalid query parameter.
