# Delete a file

`DELETE /files/{id}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Soft-deletes the file (it disappears from lists; the underlying object is garbage-collected later).

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

- `404`: Unknown file (or not owned by the caller)
