# Choose the account's username

`PUT /v1/me/username`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Lowercased. The old username is held for this account for 30 days, and issues credited to the account are re-credited.

- `400`: Not a username that can be used
- `401`: Not signed in
- `409`: Taken, or held for another account
- `503`: Accounts are not set up here
