# Approve a brief and start the writer

`POST /v1/projects/{projectId}/geo/briefs/{briefId}/approve`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.usenotra.com`
- URL: `https://api.usenotra.com/v1/projects/{projectId}/geo/briefs/{briefId}/approve`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Claims the brief and queues the writer with the Notra dashboard. Only briefs in `draft` or `failed` can be approved; anything else returns 409.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `402`: GEO plan or available AI credits required
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Organization, project or resource not found
- `409`: Conflict
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. This endpoint allows 20 requests per 10 minutes per organization.
- `500`: Internal server error
- `503`: Authentication or billing service unavailable
