# Create Project

`POST /projects`

## Request

Create a new project. 409 if the name is already in use.

## Request body

- ProjectCreate: Body for POST /projects.
  - `name` string, required: Unique project name.
  - `human_id` string, nullable: Optional creator identifier. Becomes the project's owner.
  - `parent_project_id` string, nullable: Optional parent project id (3b6ff466). When set, this project is a subproject that inherits the parent's north_star when it has none of its own. Subprojects are one level deep: the parent must exist and must not itself be a subproject.
