# Server Config

`GET /config`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://usemeridian.us` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://usemeridian.us/config`
- Auth: none declared

v0.6.5 — expose runtime configuration to the dashboard.

Allows the frontend to be location-agnostic: it reads the server URL
from this endpoint rather than hardcoding localhost. Also used by the
PyInstaller exe launcher to confirm the server is up.

Fields:
  * ``server_url`` — the absolute URL the frontend should target.
    Defaults to ``http://{host}:{port}`` but is overridable via
    ``MERIDIAN_SERVER_URL`` for hosted / reverse-proxied deployments.
  * ``host`` / ``port`` — split form, useful for tooling.
  * ``version`` — current Meridian version, surfaced in the dashboard
    title bar so a user can see which build they're talking to.
  * ``db`` — ``memory`` or ``sqlite``; lets the dashboard show a
    scratch-DB warning during tests.
