# POST /api/v1/ai:transcribe

`POST /api/v1/ai:transcribe`

Transcribe transcribes an audio file using an instance AI provider.

## Request body

- TranscribeRequest
  - `audio` TranscriptionAudio, required
    - `content` string, bytes — Inline audio bytes.
    - `uri` string — URI for audio content. Reserved for future use.
    - `filename` string — Optional. The uploaded filename.
    - `contentType` string — Optional. The MIME type of the input audio.

## Response `200`

OK

- TranscribeResponse
  - `text` string — The transcribed text.

## Other responses

- `default` — Default error response
