# Delete a message (two-stage - trash, then permanent)

`DELETE /v1/messages/{id}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

First call soft-deletes (moves to Trash). A second call on an already-trashed message permanently deletes it.

## Path parameters

- `404`: Not found on this account (tenant-isolated - never reveals another account's data)
