# Lock Upgrade

`POST /v1/strategies/lock/upgrade`

Bump the requested pins (every drifting pin when ``components`` is
omitted) to latest and validate there — breaking or not. Persists
nothing: the "try it" step of the agent's upgrade (dollar-volume spec 02
§3), with the same semantics as ``strategy_components_upgrade``
(lock_upgrade.bump_pins, one owner). ``changes`` are the drift entries
of the requested pins; a breaking bump comes back ``valid: false`` with
the issues to recompose against.
