# Create Update Intent

`POST /v1/deployments/update-intents`

Mint an update-intent token for a LIVE/PAUSED deployment the caller's org owns.

- CreateUpdateIntentRequest: Mint request. ``extra="forbid"`` is the same hard rule as deploy intents made structural: no API path accepts agent-supplied config into the prefill — a body carrying anything beyond ``deployment_id`` is rejected with a 422, not silently ignored (spec 04 §2).
