# Get Backtest Slice

`GET /v1/backtests/{job_id}/slice`

Part of a completed run, as it ran, scaled to ``capital`` (spec 07 §6).

Return, P&L on ``capital``, max drawdown, positions and bars over
``start``..``end`` (inclusive UTC days) at the run's own bar clock, from
one ``results.json`` read (``utils.backtest_slice``, the one owner).
Positions held at the slice start carry over; nothing is re-simulated. A
bound outside the run is a 422 naming the run's window. Same access rule
and 409 as ``/trades``.

- `start` string, nullable: First day of the slice (UTC).
- `end` string, nullable: Last day of the slice, inclusive (UTC).
- `capital` number, nullable: Value the slice starts from; default: the run's own.
