# Reorder or move cards

`POST /task/reorder`

## Request

Atomically update positions and optional column status for cards in one project. Other task fields are preserved.

## Request body

  - `expectedTasks` object[]: Previous complete contents of the affected columns; stale snapshots return 409

## Response `200`

Updated card positions and statuses

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid positions or column
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials
- `403`: Missing task:update permission
- `404`: Project not found, or tasks do not belong to the project
- `409`: Board changed or task moved; refresh before reordering
- `429`: The API key exceeded its rate limit or usage quota. Wait the number of seconds in Retry-After before retrying. The X-RateLimit headers are sent only when the rate limit was hit.
