# Sign out one of a user's sessions

`DELETE /admin/users/{userId}/sessions/{sessionId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://cloud.kaneo.app/api`
- URL: `https://cloud.kaneo.app/api/admin/users/{userId}/sessions/{sessionId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

End one session immediately, including its realtime connections, and record it in the audit log. The administrator's own current session can't be ended here; sign out instead. Requires the `users:sessions` instance permission; API keys are rejected.

- `userId` string, required
- `sessionId` string, required

## Response `200`

Session signed out

- RevokedSessions
  - `revoked` integer, required: Number of sessions that were signed out.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials
- `403`: The caller lacks the instance permission or is authenticated with an API key
- `404`: User or session not found
- `409`: The session is the administrator's current session
- `429`: The API key exceeded its rate limit or usage quota. Wait the number of seconds in Retry-After before retrying. The X-RateLimit headers are sent only when the rate limit was hit.
