# Revoke a user's API key

`DELETE /admin/users/{userId}/api-keys/{apiKeyId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://cloud.kaneo.app/api`
- URL: `https://cloud.kaneo.app/api/admin/users/{userId}/api-keys/{apiKeyId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delete a user's API key so it stops working immediately, and record it in the audit log. Requires the `users:api_keys` instance permission; API keys are rejected.

- `apiKeyId` string, required

## Response `200`

API key revoked

- AdminRevokedApiKey
  - `revoked` integer, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials
- `403`: The caller lacks the instance permission or is authenticated with an API key
- `404`: User or API key not found
- `429`: The API key exceeded its rate limit or usage quota. Wait the number of seconds in Retry-After before retrying. The X-RateLimit headers are sent only when the rate limit was hit.
