# Substring search across people

`GET /api/v1/search/people`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.usehomie.com`
- URL: `https://app.usehomie.com/api/v1/search/people`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Search people in the organization's network — both 1st-degree (direct connections) and 2nd-degree by default.

## Query parameters

- `q` string, required: Free-text query (name, role, company, etc.)
- `limit` integer
- `includeSecondDegree` 'true' | 'false': Include 2nd-degree connections (default: true)

    - `introRequested` boolean: True when someone in the organization has already requested an intro to this person
    - `introStatus` string: IntroStatus of that request: ACTIVE, WON, LOST, or NOT_TRACKABLE
    - `introRequestedBy` string: Org member who asked
    - `introRequestedAt` string

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Plan required or insufficient scope
