# FinCEN MSB Registration

`POST /us/fincen/msb-registration/v1`

Resolve one money services business registration by its id and return the full record: names, address, registered services, the states where it operates, whether it operates abroad, branches and filing dates. `found: false` when the list does not carry that id. Served by Croma (`as_of` says how current the data is), brought up to date weekly.

**Dataset endpoint**: answers from the whole source in milliseconds and carries `as_of`.

      - `id` string, required: Croma's id for the filing, derived from what the list says about it (the list publishes no number of its own); a counter follows when FinCEN lists the same filing twice. The key.

      - `legal_name` string, required: The business's legal name as registered. FinCEN cuts names at 50 characters.
      - `dba_name` string, nullable, required: The name it does business as.

      - `state` string, nullable, required: The two-letter state of the address; for a registrant abroad, sometimes its province.
      - `zip_code` string, nullable, required
      - `country` string, nullable, required: For a registrant located outside the US, its country as FinCEN writes it, e.g. `COLOMBIA`, `HONG KONG`.
      - `activities` string[], required: The money services the business registered for, e.g. `money_transmitter`, `check_casher`, `dealer_in_foreign_exchange`, `seller_of_prepaid_access`.
      - `activity_codes` string[], required: The same activities as FinCEN's codes, e.g. `409`.
      - `states_of_activity` string[], required: The US states and territories where the business said it operates, as two-letter codes.
      - `activity_scope` string, nullable, required: FinCEN's flag, as written: `A` all states and territories, `B` all states, `C` all territories, `D` foreign, or a combination such as `AD`.
      - `operates_abroad` boolean, required: Whether the business said it operates outside the US (the `D` flag).
      - `branches` integer, nullable, required: The number of branches it reported.
      - `auth_sign_date` string, nullable, required: When the registration was signed (yyyy-mm-dd).
      - `received_date` string, nullable, required: When FinCEN received the registration (yyyy-mm-dd).
      - `registration_number` string, nullable, required: FinCEN's MSB registration number for the filing (14 digits), from its registration letter; null until the letter is read.
      - `registration_type` string, nullable, required: From the registration letter: `Initial Registration`, `Renewal` or another kind FinCEN writes.
      - `document_url` string, nullable, required: Croma's copy of the filing's registration letter (PDF), as FinCEN served it.
      - `source_document_url` string, nullable, required: FinCEN's link to the letter when it was read. FinCEN renumbers these links, so it may no longer answer; `document_url` does.

## Other responses
