# Delaware Entities Search

`POST /us/delaware/entities-search/v1`

## Request

Search the Delaware Division of Corporations registry of business entities by name: corporations, LLCs, limited partnerships, statutory trusts and partnerships, domestic and foreign, active and inactive. Returns up to 50 matches with their file numbers (`truncated` says whether more exist); `exact: true` matches the full name exactly. Pass a file number to `delaware_entity` for the record.

    - `entities` object[], required: Matching entities, alphabetical by name; empty when none match.
      - `file_number` string, required: The Division's file number for the entity, e.g. `3582691`. Pass it to the lookup.
      - `name` string, required: The entity's name as registered.
    - `checked_at` string, required: When this answer was read from the Division, as an ISO timestamp.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request body
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal error
- `502`: Upstream source returned an error
