# Policía Criminal Records

`POST /co/policia/criminal-records/v1`

## Request

Check a person's Colombian criminal record (antecedentes). `document_type` defaults to `CC`.

Supports async delivery: set `Prefer: wait=N` for an inline result, pass `callback_url` to receive a POST when ready, or poll `GET /jobs/{id}`.

## Request body

- object
  - `document_type` 'CC' | 'CE' | 'PA' | 'DPO': Colombian document type. Defaults to `CC`.
  - `document_number` string, required: Document number. Digits only for CC; letters, digits and hyphens for CE, PA and DPO.
  - `callback_url` string, uri: POST the job result here when it finishes.

    - `document_type` 'CC' | 'CE' | 'PA' | 'DPO', required: The queried document type, echoed back.
    - `document_type_label` string, required: Human label for the document type, e.g. "Cédula de Ciudadanía".
    - `document_number` string, required: The queried document number, echoed back.
    - `full_name` string, nullable, required: Full name as registered ("Apellidos y Nombres"); null when the source omits it.
    - `has_records` boolean, required: false when the person has no pending judicial matters; true when records / pending matters are registered.
    - `status` string, required: The verbatim verdict sentence from the source.
    - `message` string, required: Full plain-text result message, for audit/display.
    - `checked_at` string, nullable, required: Consultation timestamp the source prints, or null if absent.

## Other responses

- `202`: Accepted — the result is being computed asynchronously. Poll `job.status_url` (GET /jobs/{id}) or supply `callback_url` to have the result POSTed to you. Returned when `Prefer: wait` elapses before completion, or immediately when `callback_url` is set.
- `400`: Invalid request body
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal error
- `502`: Upstream source returned an error
