# Gaceta del Congreso Documents

`POST /co/imprenta/gaceta-documents-search/v1`

Search everything the Colombian Congress has published in the Gaceta del Congreso since 2000, document by document: proyectos de ley as filed, informes de ponencia, actas de comisión y plenaria, textos aprobados y definitivos, informes de conciliación, objeciones presidenciales and conceptos. Search the full text, or filter by `chamber`, `kind`, and by the bill a document is about (`bill_number`, `bill_year`) to follow one proyecto de ley through every stage of its passage. Served by Croma (`as_of` says how current the data is).

**Dataset endpoint**: answers from the whole source in milliseconds and carries `as_of`.

  - `query` string: Optional free-text search. Matches the document's title, its epígrafe and its full text.
  - `chamber` 'any' | 'senado' | 'camara': Chamber: `senado` (Senado de la República), `camara` (Cámara de Representantes), or `any`.
  - `kind` 'any' | 'proyecto' | 'ponencia' | 'acta' | 'texto' | 'conciliacion' | 'objecion' | 'concepto' | 'ley' | 'otro': Kind of document: `proyecto` (a bill as filed), `ponencia` (a committee report), `acta` (minutes of a sitting), `texto` (an approved or definitive text), `conciliacion`, `objecion`, `concepto`, `ley`, `otro`, or `any`.
  - `bill_number` string: Optional number. Leading zeros are ignored, so `02` and `2` match the same thing.
  - `bill_year` integer: Optional year the bill was filed. 0 searches every year.
  - `published_from` string, date: Optional date filter in yyyy-mm-dd format.
  - `published_to` string, date: Optional date filter in yyyy-mm-dd format.
  - `page` integer: 1-based page number for paginated results.
  - `per_page` integer: Results per page (1-50).

      - `title` string, required: How the document is cited, e.g. "Informe de Ponencia para Primer Debate al Proyecto de Ley 318 de 2009 Senado" or "Acta de Plenaria 22 del 16 de Octubre de 2013 Senado".
      - `summary` string, required: The epígrafe the Imprenta prints under the title — for a bill, the "por la cual se..." clause. Empty when the document has none.
      - `kind` 'proyecto' | 'ponencia' | 'acta' | 'texto' | 'conciliacion' | 'objecion' | 'concepto' | 'ley' | 'otro', required: What the title says the document is: `proyecto` (a bill as filed), `ponencia` (a committee report on one), `acta` (the minutes of a sitting), `texto` (an approved or definitive text), `conciliacion`, `objecion` (a presidential objection), `concepto`, `ley` (a law as enacted), or `otro`. Read off the title, because the Imprenta's own label is blank after 2020.
      - `bill_number` string, nullable, required: Number of the proyecto de ley or acto legislativo the document is about, when the title names one. Null for actas and anything not tied to a bill.
      - `bill_year` number, nullable, required: Year of the bill the document is about, when the title names one.
      - `bill_chamber` 'camara' | 'senado', nullable, required: The chamber the bill was filed in, when the title names it. A bill keeps its filing chamber's number as it moves, so this is not always the chamber that published the gaceta.
      - `official_url` string, required: The Imprenta's page for this document, inside its gaceta.
