# GET /phone/search

`GET /phone/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.useanima.sh/v1`
- URL: `https://api.useanima.sh/v1/phone/search`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

## Query parameters

- `countryCode` string: ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code to search in
- `numberType` 'local' | 'mobile' | 'national' | 'toll_free' | 'shared_cost': Phone number type to search for (treated as local when omitted)
- `areaCode` string: Filter results to a specific area code
- `capabilities` string[]: Required capabilities for the phone numbers
- `limit` integer: Maximum number of results to return

## Response `200`

OK

- object: Search results for available phone numbers
  - `items` object[], required: Array of available phone numbers matching the search criteria
    - `phoneNumber` string, required: E.164 formatted phone number available for provisioning
    - `region` string: Geographic region or state of the phone number
    - `capabilities` object, required: Communication capabilities supported by this number
      - `sms` boolean, required: Whether the number supports SMS messaging
      - `mms` boolean, required: Whether the number supports MMS messaging
      - `voice` boolean, required: Whether the number supports voice calls
    - `monthlyCost` number: Monthly cost in USD for this phone number
    - `regulatory` object: Regulatory context for ordering this number — what ordering will require. Omitted only when requirement discovery is temporarily unavailable
      - `tier` 'NONE' | 'ADDRESS' | 'IDENTITY' | 'DOCS' | 'UNSUPPORTED', required: Provisioning requirement tier: NONE = order instantly, ADDRESS = local address required, IDENTITY = identity details required, DOCS = document upload required, UNSUPPORTED = provider does not sell this combination
      - `approvedBundleId` string: The org's approved regulatory bundle satisfying this combination, when one exists
