# Create Memory

`POST /admin/memories`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api-docs.upsmith.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Create a new organization-owned memory.

- ORGANIZATION: Org-wide memories for Agents V2 (scope_id = org ID, organization_id required)
- ORGANIZATION_ASK_JENNY: Org-wide memories for Ask Jenny (scope_id = org ID, organization_id required)
- USER: Employee-specific memories (scope_id = user ID, organization_id required)
- CUSTOMER: Contact-specific memories (scope_id = contact ID, organization_id required)

  - `category` string, nullable: Category label (e.g. scheduling_preference, org_policy)
  - `level` string: Memory level: ORGANIZATION, ORGANIZATION_ASK_JENNY, USER, or CUSTOMER
  - `scope_id` string, nullable: Contact ID for CUSTOMER level, User ID for USER level, Organization ID for ORGANIZATION / ORGANIZATION_ASK_JENNY levels
  - `organization_id` string, nullable: Organization ID for non-GLOBAL memories
