# Stop monitoring a vendor

`POST /vendor/unmonitor`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://cyber-risk.upguard.com/api/public`

A vendor will be removed from the monitored vendors list of the account.

This also removes a vendor that your account keeps without monitoring.

If you use a user token that is limited to some portfolios, you must have write access to at least one portfolio of the vendor.
The vendor is then removed only from the portfolios where you have write access.

- `id` integer
- `hostname` string

## Response `200`

The result of the request. The message is one of these:

"Vendor monitoring stopped.": the account does not monitor the vendor now.

"Vendor removed.": the account kept the vendor without monitoring it. The vendor is now removed.

"Vendor removed from your portfolios.": the vendor is removed from the portfolios where you have write access. It stays in the other portfolios.

"Vendor is not being monitored.": the account does not have the vendor. Nothing changed.

## Other responses

- `403`: Account does not have access to requested entities
- `404`: The vendor was not found.
- `422`: An invalid parameter was supplied or a mandatory parameter was missing
- `429`: Too many requests have been made to this endpoint.
- `500`: An internal system error occurred
