# Generate Monitor Name

`POST /api/domains/{domain_id}/monitoring/generate-name`

## Request

Generate a short 3-5 word monitor name from a criteria description.
Uses gpt-5-mini for fast response times.

Supports two modes:
1. New: criteria_description (free text) -> short name
2. Legacy: selections (category->value map) -> descriptive name
