# Keyword Search Volume

`POST /v1/tools/keyword_volume`

## Request

See how many people search Google for each phrase per month, what advertisers pay per click, and how competitive it is. Give up to 100 phrases in one call. Use it to pick keywords for a website, blog post, or ad campaign.

Price: $0.15 per call. Charged once per call that returns a result, including an empty result list. Failed calls are free.

## Request body

- object
  - `keywords` string[], required: Search phrases to look up (up to 100).
  - `location` string: Country, default "United States" (or the connection's default location). A city or state is reduced to its country.
  - `language` string: Language code, default "en".

      - `competition_index` number, nullable, required: Advertiser competition, 0 to 1.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid JSON or input. Not charged.
- `401`: Paid tool without a valid API key.
- `402`: Balance too low for this call. Not charged.
- `404`: Unknown tool.
- `422`: The tool failed. Not charged.
- `429`: Rate limited, free tries used up, or the uncharged-result limit reached. See Retry-After.
