# Find Local Businesses

`POST /v1/tools/business_listings`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://unstuckapi.com`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Find local businesses of a kind in a city, as listed on Google Maps: name, address, phone number, website, star rating and number of reviews. Use it to build a lead list, find competitors, or look up a business's contact details.

Price: $0.03 per call. Charged once per call that returns a result, including an empty result list. Failed calls are free.

## Request body

- object
  - `query` string, required: Type of business or name, e.g. "plumbers" or "taco truck".
  - `location` string: City and state, e.g. "Houston, TX". Required unless the connection sets a default location.
  - `limit` integer: How many businesses, default 10, max 20.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid JSON or input. Not charged.
- `401`: Paid tool without a valid API key.
- `402`: Balance too low for this call. Not charged.
- `404`: Unknown tool.
- `422`: The tool failed. Not charged.
- `429`: Rate limited, free tries used up, or the uncharged-result limit reached. See Retry-After.
