# Claim a demo document

`POST /demo/claim`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.unmarkdown.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.unmarkdown.com/v1/demo/claim`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Transfers ownership of a demo page to your account, making it permanent. Requires the claim_token returned from POST /demo/publish. The document gets a new URL under your username. Supports both API key and session cookie authentication.

  - `claim_token` string, uuid, required: Token from demo publish response

## Response `200`

Document claimed

  - `title` string
  - `published_url` string, uri
  - `slug` string
  - `template_id` string

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Authentication required
- `404`: Resource not found
- `410`: Demo page expired
- `500`: Internal server error
