# Deprecate a strategy

`POST /api/admin/strategies/{strategyName}/deprecate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.unleash-instance.example.com`
- URL: `https://app.unleash-instance.example.com/api/admin/strategies/{strategyName}/deprecate`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `Authorization`
  - HTTP bearer

Marks the specified strategy as deprecated.

## Path parameters

- `strategyName` string, required

## Response `200`

This response has no body.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authorization information is missing or invalid. Provide a valid API token as the `authorization` header, e.g. `authorization:*.*.my-admin-token`.
- `403`: The provided user credentials are valid, but the user does not have the necessary permissions to perform this operation
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
