# Map community ratings board

`GET /{region}/maps/ratings`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://unicum.gg/api`
- URL: `https://unicum.gg/api/{region}/maps/ratings`
- Auth: none required

Every map players have rated, with what they think of it. `overallBayes` is the mean shrunk towards the average of every map vote and is what the board sorts on, so a map three people liked cannot sit above one four hundred have judged. The prior is taken over the map votes alone rather than over every community vote on the site, because the two populations sit at different heights: people are far harder on the ground they are sent to than on the vehicles they chose to buy. Maps nobody has rated are absent rather than returned with nulls, so an unrated map is never read as a badly rated one. There is no over/underrated column here, unlike the vehicle board: it compares a reputation to a measured win rate, and no per-arena win rate exists anywhere. The votes are global, the identities are the region's catalogue.

## Path parameters

- `region` 'eu' | 'na' | 'asia', required: Game server region.

## Response `200`

Successful response

- MapRatingBoardResponse
  - `results` MapRatingRow[], required
    - `identity` MapRatingIdentity, required: The catalogue's half of a rated map.
      - `arenaId` string, required
      - `slug` string, required
      - `name` string, required: The catalogue's English name, which is what the slug is derived from. A reader is shown Wargaming's own name in their language, resolved client-side from the arena id.
      - `camouflage` 'summer' | 'winter' | 'desert', required: Vehicle camouflage kind the map is skinned with.
      - `sizeMeters` integer, required
      - `minimapUrl` string, required
      - `commonTest` boolean, required: Whether only the Common Test client ships this map's space, so the board can say the verdict is about something nobody can play on a live server yet.
    - `votes` integer, required
    - `reviews` integer, required: Published written opinions on this map.
    - `overall` number, nullable, required: Plain mean of the Overall stars, 1 to 5.
    - `fun` number, nullable, required
    - `overallBayes` number, nullable, required: The Overall mean shrunk towards the average of every map vote. Sort on this, not on the plain mean, or the top of the board is whichever map three people rated.
    - `funBayes` number, nullable, required
    - `overallStddev` number, nullable, required: How far apart the voters sit. High marks a divisive map.
  - `totalVotes` integer, required: Votes cast across every map, for the board's header.
  - `ratedMaps` integer, required
  - `computedAt` string, date-time, nullable, required: When the rollup behind the shrunk means was last recomputed. Null before it has ever run, which is also when every shrunk mean is null.
