# Start a browser session that runs on the user's own machine

`POST /api/v1/browse-local`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://unbrowse.ai`
- URL: `https://unbrowse.ai/api/v1/browse-local`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://unbrowse.ai/authorize`, token URL `https://unbrowse.ai/oauth/token`, scopes: `unbrowse`)
  - HTTP bearer

The agent drives the browser (open/snapshot/act/finish), but it runs locally through the CLI's `unbrowse browse --local` — the user's own browser, session and IP. What it learns is kept private to the workspace and is never shared to the public registry (the user's machine is not a trusted recorder). This is a CLI capability; a hosted MCP client cannot reach a local browser.

## Response `201`
